Test Red & Evens out with someone else’s money
Here is quite an interesting combination bet, that focuses on one of the quirks of a roulette wheel.
Namely, if you count up all the red numbers and add the rest of the even numbers you get to 28.
Whereas is you count all the red numbers and add the remaining odd numbers you get a total of 26.
Similarly black & odd numbers gives you a total of 28, and black & even: 26.
Some players like to make a combination bet of red + even or black + odd.
This way you are covering 28 out of 38 numbers (versus the other way around in which you would be covering 26 out of 38 numbers).
Make flat bets on this. Remember, there is still a house edge on this (there is on all systems- that’s roulette), but it is interesting to know how to tweak your combination bet to give you a better run for your money.
Because this bet is basically a hedge bet (ie you are trying to cover more of the table and reduce your risk), the return on a win is reduced so you are unlikely to be heading for the porsche dealership after a session using this strategy, but by the same token you will be reducing your risk.
