Pluscoup Progression

“A positive progression system like the Paroli where you increase your bet after a win. Rest your bet level when you move into overall profit. ”

The pluscoup progression system is a positive progression system- that is to say, you increase your bet amount after a win (unlike a negative progression system like the Martingale, for example, where you bet more after a loss to recoup losses).

In positive progression systems, you are hoping for a run of wins- the so called winning streak that all of us are fishing for.

But the Pluscoup has another card up its sleeve. Unlike some progressions which can ramp up in terms of bet size quite quickly to give you a scary ride, the Pluscoup progression is a shallow progression system- the betting profile looks more like a hill in the Netherlands than a mountain in the Himalayas, in other words.

So how does it work?

Well, you start off by setting an initial bet level. Let’s say we go for a bet of 1 unit, be that pounds, dollars, euros or Vietnamese Dong.
Place your bets……….the wheel spins and you lose.

The next bet is going to be set at the same level: 1, as you lost the previous bet.
Place your bets……….the wheel spins, and you win. Hey ho.

Now nudge your bet up to 2 and continue in this fashion.

Hang on, I hear you say- this sounds just like the Paroli System. Well, yes it is similar, but the Pluscoup has another card up its sleeve. In order to cap your betting on a winning streak (so that you don’t get wiped out on a following loss), there is one more move you need to implement.

TRACK YOUR BALANCE
As you play the Pluscoup progression, you need to be tracking your overall balance. (You should always do this anyway, by the way). What we mean by this, is that you need to monitor your ongoing profit and loss for the session. Now here’s the science. As soon as you move into positive territory with a win, you drop your next bet down to the starter level. The idea here, is to lock in profits.

Let’s look at an example:
Here we are betting red all the way through, just to make it easy to illustrate.

Spin Result Result Bet Amount Result Balance Comments
1 B Loss 1 -1 -1
2 R Win 1 +1 0 Bet stays the same after a loss
3 B Loss 2 -1 -2 Bet increased after a win
4 B Loss 2 -2 -4 Bet stays the same
5 R Win 2 +2 -2 Bet increased
6 R Win 3 +3 +1 Balance Positive. Reset bet to 1
7 R Win 1 +1 +2

As you can see, your bets increase as you win and stay level when you lose. then as soon as you move into positive territory on your bankroll (ie you are “up”, you are making a profit, you drop back down to the initial starter bet. This is to avoid wiping profits out with a following loss- am attempt to lock in your wins.

If we look a the Paroli, or Parley, you would keep on upping your bet level after a win. As you are not going to win indefinitely, you need to call “Time” at some stage to take profits. In the Pluscoup system, this is done for you.
